Since 1994, over 150 students majoring in Communications at local colleges and universities have gained valuable career experiences by hosting the televised daily drawings of The Numbers.
The Rhode Island Lottery`s daily Numbers game, which started in 1976, became the first Rhode Island Lottery game that allowed players to select their own numbers, hoping to match the randomly selected numbers on balls drawn from plexiglass containers.
Midday Drawings are not aired on television. They occur at 1:30 pm Sunday Saturday. Midday wagers can be placed at Lottery terminals until 1:20 pm Sunday Saturday.
Midday drawing videos are available on our website.
Evening Drawings are locally televised live on WPRI-TV 12 at 6:59 pm Monday Saturday, and at 6:29 pm on Sundays. Weekend drawings can also be viewed on myRI-TV. Evening wagers can be placed at Lottery terminals until 6:50 pm Monday Saturday and 6:20 pm on Sundays.
