Since 1994, over 150 students majoring in Communications at local colleges and universities have gained valuable career experiences by hosting the televised Daily Numbers drawings.

The Rhode Island Lottery’s Daily Numbers Game became the first Rhode Island Lottery game that allowed players to select their own numbers, hoping to match the randomly selected numbers on balls drawn from plexiglass containers.

Drawings are locally televised live on WPRI-TV 12 at 6:59 p.m. Monday – Saturday, and at 6:29 p.m. on Sundays. Wagers can be placed at Lottery Retailers until 6:50 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 6:20 p.m. on Sundays.

Object of the game

Players may wager .50, $1, $2 or $5 on the chance that the 2 to 4 digits they select will be drawn in a particular straight or box order.

• In order to win 4-digit wager, you must match all 4 digits drawn.
• In order to win 3-digit wager, you must match first 3 or last 3 drawn, depending on your specified wager.
• The Rhode Island Lottery reserves the right to limit the amount of betting on any series of numbers on any given day to maintain the financial integrity of the Daily Numbers Game.

How to fill out play slip

On the Daily Numbers play slip, the game and numbers selected are made by placing a heavy vertical mark in the appropriate boxes. DO NOT ERASE. Use one board for each set of numbers to be played.

Wager type and amount are selected by marking the appropriate box on each board. Combo bets (straight and box) cost twice the dollar amount of the single wager.

Weekly Play: By marking the “Weekly” option on a play slip, the wagers selected on all boards of the play slip will be made for seven consecutive drawings.

Instant Match option: Instant Match option: For an extra $1, complete play slip as above for Daily Numbers Game and select Instant Match option. The terminal will randomly generate a set of numbers and print them on the ticket.

If any of the numbers from the Instant Match game match the numbers selected for the Daily Numbers game, or the Bonus “$” sign appears, the player wins the amount shown to the right of the matched number / symbol. The Instant Match winning ticket can be cashed instantly, and an exchange ticket will be issued for the Daily Numbers drawing.

Extended Play option: To play the same numbers and wager on the Daily Numbers game for 30, 60 or 90 consecutive drawings, use the Extended Play play slip to select numbers and wager options, as well as the number of consecutive days to be played.

Extended Play tickets become active with the first drawing following the Extended Play ticket purchase.

Instant Match is not available on Extended Play tickets.

Once completed play slip is presented to the Lottery Retailer and the ticket is printed, it is the player’s responsibility to immediately check that the numbers and wagering selected and the ticket issued are what was requested. Players are advised to sign the back of the ticket for security. All winning tickets are payable to the bearer of the ticket upon verification of their identification and signature. The Rhode Island Lottery and Lottery Retailers are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets or those incorrectly issued that are not reported to the Retailer immediately after purchase.
