Powerball Power Play

Rhode Island Lottery Powerball

Did You Know?

Rhode Island was one of the founding members of the Multi-State Lottery Association which established the Lotto America game in 1987. This multi-state game became Powerball in 1992.

Powerball Power Play has become one of the most popular Lottery games due to its extremely high jackpots. The highest jackpot amount to date was $1.5 Billion on January 13, 2016, with winning tickets sold in Florida, Tennessee, and California.

Jackpots start at $40 million, and continue to increase by no less than $10 million per drawing until someone wins. Also, players can increase their chances of becoming a multi-millionaire by playing Power Play. Power Play increases all non-jackpot prizes. See prize table below. The $1,000,000 prize for matching 5/5 white balls will increase to $2,000,000 when you purchase Power Play!

Drawings are at 10:59pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays and aired locally on WPRI-TV 12.
Powerball Power Play tickets may be purchased at any time, but only until 9:50pm on drawing nights.

How to Play Powerball Power Play

1 Pick Your Numbers: Each play slip has five (5) boards (Play A-E). Each board is a separate play. You may play up to five (5) sets of numbers on one (1) play slip. Choose five (5) numbers, ranging from 1 to 69, from the upper area of the play slip for each board played. Each board played costs $2 without the Power Play option or $3 with the Power Play option.

2 Powerball Number: Select one (1) Powerball number ranging from 1 to 26 in the lower play area for each board played.

Quick Pick: Mark the two (2) "QP" boxes, and the computer will draw a series of six (6) numbers for your wager. Or mark "QP" for the first five (5) numbers and choose your own Powerball number, or mark "QP" for the Powerball number and choose the first five (5) numbers yourself.
